Searchable PDF

 

RightFax 10 offers a Searchable PDF Module that allows customers to send and receive searchable PDFs. Customers will now be able to find content within faxes in seconds instead of hours, days and even weeks. The module delivers faxes as searchable PDFs to e-mail (Outlook, SMTP, Notes), XML Generator and/or the Network Folder and sends faxes as searchable PDFs from MFPs and XML Generators.

 

 

 

Microsoft Office and Outlook 2010

 

 RightFax 10 now is integrated with Microsoft Office and Outlook 2010. The new integration includes a new Outlook 2010 fax form, seamless integration to the Microsoft User Interface and support for Office 2010 attachments. Users will now be able to create, send, receive and manage faces though their Outlook 2010 workstation.

 

 

Secure SMTP Gateway

 

RightFax 10 includes a complete revision of the SMTP POP3 e-mail gateway for off-premise email solutions and MFPs. RightFax 10 now supports integrations with Google Apps, Exchange Online and Office 365. The new secure gateway provides additional layers of security to an already secure platform and enables the highest messaging encryption on the consumer market today.

 

 

 

Improved SQL Redundancy

 

RightFax 10 offers a Shared Services Module that automatically failovers a Database “collective” to another active SQL server node. RightFax will use the connection specified in the first SQL Server until it encounters a problem. At that time of disruption, RightFax will start beguing using the second SQL Server specified in the connection string.

 

 

VMWare v-Motion and Microsoft Hyper-V Live Migration

 

RightFax 10 offers full support for VMWare vMotion and Microsoft Hyper-V Live Migration.  RightFax performs live migrations with zero downtime that is undetectable to the user. Proactively moves your virtual machines away from a failing underperforming server.  Leverage virtual machine infrastructure for disaster recovery and business continuity.

 

 

RightFax 10 Migration Path

 

It is recommended that you conduct a new install with a fresh operating system for all new versions of RightFax.  For in place upgrades, RightFax must be at version 9.4 Feature Pack 1 Service Release 3.  If you are on RightFax 8.7 or below you must move to RightFax 9.3 then to RightFax 9.4 in order to upgrade to RightFax 10.  If you are on RightFax 9.3 you must first upgrade to RightFax 9.4 before upgrading to RightFax 10.  If you have any question, please send us an email at info@instantinfo.com.
