Fax Virtualization

As more organizations migrate to an IP-based, virtualized environment to reduce costs, centralize networks and consolidate servers, one key application that should not be overlooked is fax. However, one of the most common misconceptions about Fax over IP (FoIP) is that it requires Voice over IP (VoIP). It does not! Regardless of your company’s VoIP strategy, you can easily virtualize your fax servers and reap the benefits of reduced hardware maintenance and transmission costs. IIS is on the forefront of this technology offering organizations information, insight, and technical guidance on the benefits and implementation of fax virtualization and FoIP. If your organization is looking at virtualizing specific business applications in 2010, IIS has multiple resources to assist you with the process.
