Instant InfoSystems Partners with Index Engines to provide end-to-end Enterprise eDiscovery Solutions
October 30th, 2009FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New offering allows for cost effective discovery and management of historic data stored in backup tapes
Los Angeles, CA – October 30, 2009 – Instant InfoSystems (IIS), a leading provider of Enterprise Message Management solutions including Email Archiving and Enterprise Fax Management, today announced its partnership with Index Engines. IIS has partnered with Index Engines to provide solutions which help enterprises access data stored on local area networks and backup tapes. Index Engines’ patent-pending software assists enterprises in the search and extraction of data without requiring the original backup software.
Over time, enterprises accumulate significant volumes of information on networks and backup tapes containing the historical records of their business. As compared to costly and time consuming restoration methods, Index Engines eliminates the burden of restoring data contained on local area networks and backup tapes with efficient and high speed alternatives. Index Engines allows the data discovery process to go from “Restore Everything then Discover” to “Discover then Collect Relevant Data.”
Index Engines offers alternatives to different discovery and retention methods. By using Index Engines Tape or LAN indexing platform, a company can cut costs and increase efficiency. LAN indexing occurs at speeds of 1 terabyte per hour per node and generates a footprint that is only four to eight percent of the original data set. Tape data is indexed at the speed of tape without requiring the original backup software.
California’s new law, Chapter 5, Statutes of 2009, requires responsible parties to produce data stored in disaster recovery systems when it is relevant to litigation. David Klein, CEO of Instant InfoSystems said, “With California’s new law now in effect, we are seeing an increased demand for technology that makes information easily accessible, regardless of where it is stored.” Klein continued, “Adding Index Engines to our existing portfolio of email archiving solutions allows us to deliver comprehensive, end-to-end eDiscovery solutions to enterprise customers.”
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Instant InfoSystems,” said Sheldon Feinland, VP of Sales at Index Engines. “With their expertise in email archiving and eDiscovery, alongside national service and support capabilities, IIS is uniquely positioned to provide Index Engines technology to enterprises nationwide.”
