New Online Training We start this New Year by offering instructor led Online Training courses for RightFax. You will get the same hands-on experience you would get in our training facility, but without the need to travel and incur added expenses. Instant Insight™ We have recently launched Instant Insight™ Managed Services for RightFax. Instant Insight™ monitors critical components of the RightFax environment and provides proactive knowledge of a problem that may be occurring, in many cases before the end users are impacted. IIS Email Archiving Scorecard, version 2.0 Due to the overwhelming response to our in-depth technical evaluation of the leading email archiving products, we have developed version 2.0 of this useful tool with an evaluation of additional features such as Ingestion Rates and Search Return Rates. These features will help you determine how quickly the products can archive and search email data in your environment.
New Website In early 2009, we will launch our new user friendly website with the latest information in Enterprise Message Management technology and resources to help you make quick, informed decisions.

Instant InfoSystems Introduces Online Training for RightFax
Beginning February 2009, Instant InfoSystems is pleased to offer instructor led online training for RightFax. Whether RightFax is new to your organization or an established application you support, Register Now and learn how you can get the most of from your RightFax solution. RightFax 9.3 online training is a three-day program which includes hands-on instruction on how to install, configure, maintain and administer a RightFax server system.
Instructor led online training offers the same course as classroom training except that it is delivered online through WebEx Training Center, a web conferencing tool that allows remote access to virtual machines. You get the same hands-on labs and experimentation you would get in a training facility – without the need to travel and incur added expenses.

OTFS 9.4 (formerly RightFax) Offers Expanded Support for Virtualized Environments and FoIP
The new features in Open Text Fax Server 9.4 (OTFS 9.4) are designed to help customers reduce costs, increase compliance, improve document processing and enhance integrations. Customers will benefit from expanded support for virtualized environments, improved optical character recognition (OCR) performance, and easier administration through simplified installation and enhanced auditing capabilities.
Feature Enhancements Include:
Extended support for the latest technologies and protocols—including T.38 Fax over IP, virtualization, Microsoft Active Directory 2008, and IP v6. RightFax 9.4 allows for Fax over IP failover in multi-gateway environments and supports VMware ESX server 3.0.1 or higher.
Improved OCR performance with a more powerful engine that advances character recognition and routing accuracy.
Simplified installation via unassisted online product licensing and Microsoft Active Directory 2008 user synchronization.
Increased reliability with RightFax client FaxUtil fail-over in a shared services environment.
Enhanced administrative auditing capabilities via Enterprise Fax Reporter, a new tool that records time and responsible party for user and group additions, modifications or deletions and improves reporting query performance.
Improved client functionality including additional language support for Web access
Open Text Fax Server (RightFax) 9.4 also uses a new activation system. The new activation system provides customers with greater control over their system maintenance and offers a faster installation or upgrade experience due to a much shorter activation process.

Deleting Image Files When Using Fax Aging
Fax aging has become an important issue to some of our customers. In RightFax 9.3 FP1b HF1 or higher, when using fax aging, the record of the fax is deleted. However, the image file still remains. This change in functionality is documented in the updated administrator’s guide (Page 259).
If you want to delete the image file, please add the registry key:
Under HKLM\Software\RightFax\FaxServer, add a DWORD key named DeleteImagesOnPurge. Set the value to 0.
The services must be restarted for the change to take effect. This will not delete prior image files that would have been aged prior to the change, so these must be deleted via command prompt or Orphan.
