Deleting Image Files When Using Fax Aging
January 1st, 2009Fax aging has become an important issue to some of our customers. In RightFax 9.3 FP1b HF1 or higher, when using fax aging, the record of the fax is deleted. However, the image file still remains. This change in functionality is documented in the updated administrator’s guide (Page 259). If you want to delete the image file, please add the registry key listed below.
Under HKLMSoftwareRightFaxFaxServer, add a DWORD key named DeleteImagesOnPurge. Set the value to 0.
The services must be restarted for the change to take effect. This will not delete prior image files that would have been aged prior to the change, so these must be deleted via command prompt or Orphan.
