RightFax 9.3 and Office 2007
January 1st, 2008RightFax 9.3 has added support for Microsoft Office 2007 in their latest Feature Pack update (Feature Pack 2). With this added support, there are a few items that must be setup to ensure the server is ready for the new version.
Once Office 2007 is installed on the RightFax server, each coversheet from the RightFaxFCS directory must be opened. Choose close when the “Show Repairs” dialog box is presented. If this is not completed, any outbound fax set to use a .DOC coversheet will fail conversion. Also, when sending an outbound fax with a .DOCX file attachment, the conversion process will fail. Save the document as a .DOC (Word 97-2003) document and resend. This does not apply to faxes that are sent via the RightFax Fax Printer, only faxes that have a Word document attached.
